Some people, particularly smaller organizations, will tend to rely on a managed service for these kinds of things. Might be from their carrier, could be something they went out and bought. Tell us a little bit about how you see the difference between a managed service and a virtual analyst.

The first thing is that a virtual analyst is really part of your team. The idea is that we can take the things that are specific to you – what’s important to you, what’re your critical assets, what’re your things that have varying levels of importance like your guest network vs. your production network. Then being able to make the decisions with those factors in mind.

When you outsource security, you lose a little bit of that. Mostly because those firms, for their business, are very generic. They can offer a service, but it’s going to be about what they’re seeing… maybe it works or maybe it doesn’t. Our experience has been that most customers using it, use it as a checkbox. But if they really want to get a lot of efficacy from the information they’re getting, they need the right combination of in-house people and the part of technology that adds to your team.
